
What’s on in Maidenhead this Half Term?
If you are looking for some half term Halloween events in Maidenhead, Berkshire then I’ve created a handy roundup. There are hundreds of activities happening this year, so I’ve selected a few for families and children of all ages. Most of the Halloween events are in Maidenhead, and a few are in the surrounding area.
Magpies Fright Night
Magpies in the community are hosting a Halloween party for children aged 5-12 this year. It’ll be in the cage at Maidenhead FC, situated in the heart of Maidenhead on 31st October 2021, 17:30 – 18:30.
For £3 per person there will be party games with ‘Mummy the Coach’, Pumpkin Penalties, sweets, face painting and a costume competition.
Parking on site is limited.

Strawberry Grove Spooktacular Afternoon Tea
Strawberry Grove have cafes in Marlow and Maidenhead, and both are hosting fabulous Halloween themed tea parties this year. Go along with the small ones (dressing up is encouraged) and enjoy an afternoon of delicious food and brilliant spooky decorations.
Your afternoon tea will include halloween cupcakes, a selection of sandwiches, soup, quiche, sausage rolls and scones with jam and clotted cream. Plus unlimited tea and coffee for the grown ups and babycino or hot chocolate for the children.
It costs £18 per person and £8 per child (minimum of 2 people). Available from 20th October – 31st October 2021.
You must book at least 24 hours in advance.

Binfield Scarecrow Trail
Although it’s a 20 minute drive out of Maidenhead, the residents of Binfield put on a rather impressive scarecrow trail every year.
Simply pick up a trail map for £3 from The Foxes Den Cafe or Binfield Village Store and off you go! You could spend a few hours following the map round spotting some brilliant and creative homemade scarecrows, all displayed in the front gardens.
All proceeds go towards the maintenance of the local church, and it’s a great community event. It runs every day from Saturday 23rd October to Sunday 31st October.

Random and Rocks Spooktacular Halloween
Join Jonny and Adam from Random and Rocks at the Braywick Leisure Centre for their Halloween half term show, on Friday October 29th. Doors open at 17:00. The show starts at 17:30 and finishes at 19:30.
This family entertainment show is on stage – with music, dancing, games, Halloween challenges and slime. Parents can relax around the tables while the kids are entertained for 2 hours! There is a bar and refreshments.
Prizes include Shrek Adventure London tickets, London Dungeon tickets and family swimming at Windsor for 2022.

The Brett Foundation Halloween Afternoon Tea Fundraiser
Local charity The Brett Foundation supports the homeless, the elderly in the community and families living in poverty. They are holding a Halloween afternoon tea party at Woodlands Park Primary school. It will be on Monday 25th October from 17:00 – 19:30 and it is to fundraise for a project to build an orphanage in Sierra Leone.
Kids go in fancy dress for fun packed activities. There will be face painting, a bouncy castle, a monster disco, halloween party games, crafts and a child friendly afternoon tea box.
Tickets cost £10 per adult and £6 for under 13’s. And there will be stalls selling additional sweets and Halloween novelties on the night.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving at Crocus at Dorney Court
During the half term, Crocus at Dorney Court will be having a pumpkin carving event. It will run from Monday 25th October – Saturday 30th October from 09:30 – 11:30am.
It will take place in the walled garden, and pumpkins cost £5.95 (while stocks last). No booking necessary.

Halloween Festival at Odds Farm
If you fancy venturing slightly further out of Maidenhead, then head along to Odds Farm on Wooburn Common Road, High Wycombe for pumpkin carving and Halloween activities.
Purchase tickets for pumpkin picking and carving at the ‘oddllotment’ (weather permitting) – running from 23rd October – 31st October. The little ones can take a mini wheelbarrow and pick their own pumpkin. There is also a Tricky Trail to explore and you can visit the animals and go on the tractor and trailer ride. If you bring your wellies you can also splash in the H2Odds water play area and much more!

Holyport Halloween Trail 2021
Holyport village are doing their Halloween Trail this year on October 31st, between 16:00 – 19:00. You will have to purchase the trail map via the Facebook event. Then on the night the kids can dress up and visit the houses who have gone all out with the Halloween decorations – and not forgetting the loot bags!

Pick Your Own Pumpkins Copas Farm
On 16th and 17th October and 23rd until 31st October, you can go along to Copas Farm in Cookham to pick your own pumpkins.
You can book online (£1.50 per person) and head along – while stocks last.

Brick or Treat at Legoland
Always a favourite – Legoland Windsor! And Lord Vampyre is back to host his Halloween Party. There will be the Monster Rocker’s pumpkin trail, costume competition and the Creepy Crypt Trail.
And don’t forget to join him at the Haunted House Monster Party Ride!

Diddy Villagers Halloween Spooktacular
One for the little ones – the Pop Up Play Village will be at the Cox Green Scout Hut on October 20th, at 10:15am.
This pay as you go Halloween event is a fun role play based activity for babies and young children. All role play activities are on floor level with carefully chosen resources to keep young villagers safe.
